Asphalting, stone paving and landscaping project at Helsinki’s West Terminal
We carried out the asphalting, stone paving and landscaping work in front of the West Terminal in Helsinki. For many passengers, this is the first glimpse of Finland, so the goal was to make the area an eye-catching and presentable "business card" for the country.
We were responsible for the asphalting, stone paving and landscaping project at Helsinki’s West Terminal. The work started in April 2017. The entire makeover, with its high-quality granite surfaces and impressive landscaping work, will be completed by the end of September 2017. The project was ordered by the City of Helsinki. The terminal area welcomes up to a million passengers per month through its doors.
Wide variety of plants
Designed by Ramboll Finland, the area around the terminal entrance is covered with high-quality granite paving and greeneries along the passageways. The wide variety of grasses and flowers were selected to withstand even the rougher weather conditions of the area.
