LEMMINKÄINEN WINS RING RAIL LINE TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN VANTAA
Lemminkäinen has signed a contract with the Finnish Transport Agency for Ring Rail Line projects in Vantaa - interior construction work for a section of tunnel and the construction of a station reservation. The contract is worth EUR 13 million. Work will begin immediately and is scheduled for completion in May 2014.
The new contract includes interior construction work for a 2.6-metre section of double tunnel, HVAC and electrical work, and the construction of a tunnel station reservation. The station reservation will enable the construction of the Viinikkala station at a later date, if required.
Lemminkäinen is also installing the cable ducts and wells, and the drainage and sprinkler systems. In addition, Lemminkäinen will build connecting tunnels and switch rails.
