LEMMINKÄINEN TO RENOVATE PRESTIGIOUS PROPERTY IN CENTRAL HELSINKI
Lemminkäinen and Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company have signed an agreement on the renovation of a high profile property at Mikonkatu 9 in central Helsinki, Finland. Work is due to commence in June 2017. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the agreement.
The agreement comprises the complete renovation of the building, currently in use as offices, including internal structures, technical building systems, surface materials and furniture. The high-quality, adaptable commercial premises that will ideally respond to the demands of today’s office market will be completed in autumn 2018.
Designed by architects Jussi and Toivo Paatela and built in 1929, Mikonkatu 9 is located adjacent to the Ateneum Art Museum in central Helsinki.
Lemminkäinen has previously successfully undertaken a number of projects for Ilmarinen, including the refurbishment of Hämeentie 22, completed in spring 2017. “Our previous experiences of working with Lemminkäinen have demonstrated that they offer the expertise to deliver on even the most complex projects, and our collaboration with them has always been seamless,” commented Niina Rajakoski, Construction Manager at Ilmarinen.
