GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING CONTRACT FOR LEMMINKÄINEN IN SWEDEN

Lemminkäinen Group's Lemminkäinen Infra Oy has won a significant geotechnical
engineering contract in Sweden. The work involves improving the stability of
two reinforced concrete dams for safety reasons. The dams were constructed at
Storfinnefors and Ramsele in the 1950s. The client is Eon Vattenkraft Sverige
Ab and the contract is worth approx. EUR 10 million.

The stability of the reinforced concrete dams will be improved by installing
55-metre-long post-tensioned strand anchors in holes drilled through the dam
structure into the bedrock. The anchors will be supplied by Lemminkäinen
Group's Oy Alfred A. Palmberg Ab. The contract will involve drilling holes
through some 16,000 metres of reinforced concrete and bedrock. Work on the dams
will start in August 2009 and will be completed in summer 2012.

Lemminkäinen has been carrying out geotechnical engineering works in Sweden
since 1999. These contracts have included work on Stockholm's historic Norrbro
bridge, the oldest bridge in the city. Lemminkäinen Infra strengthened its
foundations in 2007-2008.
