Career development

Lemminkäinen encourages its employees to participate in vocational training leading to the award of a diploma. Such qualifications promote career advancement and add to the diversity of expertise in different kinds of projects.

Lemminkäinen’s business is based almost entirely on project working, so expertise in project work is an important common area of knowhow and development. Training in project work is provided continuously in the business areas’ own development programmes and in Group-wide programmes.

What we do

Lemminkäinen employs some 9,200 professionals in over 400 different occupations.

Our employees work in Lemminkäinen’s four main business areas: building construction, infrastructure construction, technical building services, and building products. Besides actual construction work, our projects include the tasks of project management and administration. Depending on the contract model being used, projects usually involve a number of pre-construction stages such as bid preparation and the obtainment of official permits.

In addition to construction industry professionals, we employ business support professionals specialising in areas such as finance, marketing and communications.
