In Russia we operate both as a contractor and as a residential and commercial property developer through our local subsidiaries. In 2010 the share of the Russian operations of the Group’s building construction net sales was seven per cent, with a significant part accounting for the residential construction in Saint Petersburg.
Our business activity in Russia is concentrated in the areas of Northwest and Central Russia with offices in Saint Petersburg and Kaluga. We offer project-specific contracting services all over Russia as well.
In Saint Petersburg we provide a diversity of services both for the companies and home buyers. Our services for business partners range from project planning and construction to the commissioning of a complete facility. We can also offer facility maintenance and upkeep services, when needed. For the growing numbers of middle class buyers in Russia we offer high-quality apartments in the best parts of Saint Petersburg.
We own a 135 hectare plot in Kaluga, located only 180 km to the south-west from Moscow, which we are currently developing into an industrial park for production and logistics companies. In addition, we can offer a 600 hectare plot for industrial facilities requiring more space. Our first client in the I-Park Lemminkäinen is the Finnish production company Ab Rani Plast Oy.
